How to rotate PDF pages

  1. Choose or drop the PDF to rotate.
  2. Rotate every page at once with the buttons above the pages, or select the rotate button on a single page.
  3. Select Save PDF and download the corrected file.

Lossless rotation

Rotation changes the page's orientation setting rather than redrawing its content, so text and images keep their full quality and the file size stays the same.

Questions about Rotate PDF

Are my files uploaded when I rotate a PDF?

No. Scissor PDF runs a PDF engine written in Rust and compiled to WebAssembly inside your browser tab. Your files are read from your disk into the page's memory, processed there and saved back to your device. The site has no upload endpoint, and its Content Security Policy blocks the page from sending data to any other server.

Is the rotation saved permanently?

Yes. The new orientation is written into the PDF, so it opens the right way in Preview, Acrobat, browsers and on phones.

Can I rotate only one page?

Yes. Every thumbnail has its own rotate button. Pages you do not touch keep their current orientation.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It is free, with no account, no daily task limit and no watermark added to your documents. Because the work happens on your own computer, there is no server cost per file for us to recover.
