Your files
Files you open in Scissor PDF are processed entirely in your browser and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. We cannot see, store, share or recover them.
Passwords
Passwords you type into Protect PDF or Unlock PDF are used only in your browser to encrypt or decrypt the file, and are never transmitted or stored.
What our server sees
Like any website, our server and content delivery network receive standard request information when your browser downloads the site's pages and files: IP address, requested address, time, and browser user agent. This is used only to operate and secure the service and to count aggregate traffic, and is not combined with other data or sold.
Cookies and tracking
Scissor PDF sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising trackers. Your browser stores the site's files for offline use, and may keep a file briefly in local storage when you choose "Continue with" to pass a result to another tool; it is removed as soon as the next tool opens it.
