How to convert JPG to PDF
- Choose or drop your images: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, or HEIC on Safari.
- Drag them into order and choose a page size: fit to the image, A4 or US Letter, with or without a margin.
- Select Create PDF and download.
Original quality, right way up
JPEG photos are placed in the PDF byte for byte, without re-compression, so there is no quality loss. Phone photos are turned upright using their orientation data. PNG and other formats are stored losslessly, including transparency.
Page size options
Fit makes each page the same shape as its image, which is best for photos and screenshots. A4 and Letter place each image centred on standard paper, turning the page to landscape for wide images, which is best for documents you will print.
Questions about JPG to PDF
Are my files uploaded when I convert images to PDF?
No. Scissor PDF runs a PDF engine written in Rust and compiled to WebAssembly inside your browser tab. Your files are read from your disk into the page's memory, processed there and saved back to your device. The site has no upload endpoint, and its Content Security Policy blocks the page from sending data to any other server.
Can I convert iPhone HEIC photos?
Yes in Safari, which can read HEIC natively. In other browsers, share the photo as JPEG from the Photos app first, or open this page in Safari.
How many images can I add?
As many as your device's memory allows. Hundreds of photos are fine on a typical laptop.
Will the PDF be large?
About the size of your images combined. To make it smaller, run the result through Compress PDF.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It is free, with no account, no daily task limit and no watermark added to your documents. Because the work happens on your own computer, there is no server cost per file for us to recover.
