How to add a logo watermark to a PDF
- Choose or drop the PDF, then add your image. A PNG with a transparent background gives the cleanest result.
- Choose the size, angle and opacity, and whether to place it once or tiled across the page.
- Select Add watermark and download the result.
Single or tiled
A single watermark sits once on each page. Tiled repeats it across the whole page, which makes it harder to crop out of screenshots of your work. Adjust size, angle and opacity until it is visible without hiding the content.
Choosing an image
A PNG with a transparent background looks cleanest, because only the logo appears, not a white box around it. For a text watermark such as CONFIDENTIAL, use Watermark PDF.
Questions about Logo watermark
Are my files uploaded when I add a logo watermark?
No. Scissor PDF runs a PDF engine written in Rust and compiled to WebAssembly inside your browser tab. Your files are read from your disk into the page's memory, processed there and saved back to your device. The site has no upload endpoint, and its Content Security Policy blocks the page from sending data to any other server.
What kind of image should I use?
A PNG with a transparent background, so only the logo itself shows on the page.
Can I make it faint?
Yes. Lower the opacity until the watermark sits quietly behind the content.
Can I use text instead of an image?
Yes, with Watermark PDF.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It is free, with no account, no daily task limit and no watermark added to your documents. Because the work happens on your own computer, there is no server cost per file for us to recover.
