How to reverse the pages of a PDF

  1. Choose or drop the PDF.
  2. Select Reverse pages.
  3. Download the PDF with the pages in reverse order.

When you need it

Many document feeders scan the last page first, and stacks often go in upside down or back to front. Reversing puts the pages back in reading order. It also helps when you print in reverse to collate by hand.

Nothing else changes

Only the order changes. Each page keeps its content, size and rotation. If pages are also upside down, fix them afterwards with Rotate PDF.

Questions about Reverse PDF

Are my files uploaded when I reverse a PDF?

No. Scissor PDF runs a PDF engine written in Rust and compiled to WebAssembly inside your browser tab. Your files are read from your disk into the page's memory, processed there and saved back to your device. The site has no upload endpoint, and its Content Security Policy blocks the page from sending data to any other server.

Does it rotate the pages too?

No. Rotation is left as it is. Use Rotate PDF if pages need turning.

Can I reverse only some pages?

Reverse PDF flips the whole document. To move individual pages, use Organize PDF.

I scanned fronts and backs separately. Can this help?

Use Combine odd and even pages. It interleaves the two scans and can reverse the backs for you.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It is free, with no account, no daily task limit and no watermark added to your documents. Because the work happens on your own computer, there is no server cost per file for us to recover.
