How to stamp a PDF

  1. Choose or drop the PDF.
  2. Pick a stamp and place it on any page. Drag it into position and resize it.
  3. Select Save stamps and download the result.

Ready-made stamps

Choose from Approved, Rejected, Paid, Received, Draft, Confidential, Final and Copy. Each stamp includes today's date, and you can add as many as you need, on any page.

Part of the page

Stamps become part of the page, not separate comments. They look the same in every reader and when printed, but cannot be removed with an annotation tool later. Keep your original if you might need an unstamped copy.

Questions about Stamp PDF

Are my files uploaded when I stamp a PDF?

No. Scissor PDF runs a PDF engine written in Rust and compiled to WebAssembly inside your browser tab. Your files are read from your disk into the page's memory, processed there and saved back to your device. The site has no upload endpoint, and its Content Security Policy blocks the page from sending data to any other server.

Which stamps are available?

Approved, Rejected, Paid, Received, Draft, Confidential, Final and Copy, each with today's date.

Can I write my own stamp text?

Not with this tool. Use Add text to PDF for your own words, or Watermark PDF to put text across every page.

Can I remove a stamp later?

Not from the saved file, because it is part of the page. Keep the original if you need a clean copy.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It is free, with no account, no daily task limit and no watermark added to your documents. Because the work happens on your own computer, there is no server cost per file for us to recover.
