How to convert ePub to PDF

  1. Choose or drop the ePub file.
  2. Choose the page size and the text size.
  3. Select Convert to PDF and save the file.

How it is laid out

Each chapter starts on a new page and flows across as many pages as it needs, with the fonts and styles the book was made with. A5 is close to a paperback; A4 and Letter print on standard paper.

Good to know

Pages are saved as high-resolution pictures, so they print sharply and look identical everywhere, but the text cannot be selected or searched. Books with DRM (copy protection) cannot be opened.

Questions about ePub to PDF

Are my files uploaded when I convert ePub to PDF?

No. Scissor PDF converts the file inside your browser tab. It is read from your disk into the page's memory, converted there and saved back to your device. The site has no upload endpoint, and its Content Security Policy blocks the page from sending data to any other server.

Can I convert a book I bought?

Only if it has no DRM. Most stores protect their books, and protected files cannot be opened by any converter without the store's app.

Can I select the text in the PDF?

No. Each page is saved as a picture, which keeps the layout exact in every viewer.

Which page size should I choose?

A5 for reading on screen or printing as a booklet; A4 or Letter for normal printers.
