How to resize PDF pages

  1. Choose or drop the PDF.
  2. Pick the new size: A4, US Letter, A3, A5 or Legal.
  3. Select Resize PDF and download the result.

Scaled, not stretched

Each page is scaled to fit the new size with its proportions kept, then centred. Text and graphics stay sharp because they are scaled as vectors, not turned into images. Pages of mixed sizes all end up the same size.

What is not carried over

Links, comments and form fields are not kept on the resized pages. If you need a fillable form, fill it in first, or keep the original file.

Questions about Resize PDF pages

Are my files uploaded when I resize a PDF?

No. Scissor PDF runs a PDF engine written in Rust and compiled to WebAssembly inside your browser tab. Your files are read from your disk into the page's memory, processed there and saved back to your device. The site has no upload endpoint, and its Content Security Policy blocks the page from sending data to any other server.

Will my pages be stretched?

No. Proportions are kept. If the shape of the new size differs, the page is centred with white space around it.

Does the text get blurry?

No. Text and graphics stay sharp at the new size.

Why do my links no longer work?

Links, comments and form fields are not carried over when pages are resized.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It is free, with no account, no daily task limit and no watermark added to your documents. Because the work happens on your own computer, there is no server cost per file for us to recover.
