How to extract pages from a PDF

  1. Choose or drop the PDF.
  2. Click the pages to extract, or type them, for example 3, 7-9.
  3. Choose one combined PDF or one file per page, then select Extract pages.

Exact copies of the pages

Extracted pages are copied, not re-printed, so text stays selectable and searchable and images keep their original resolution.

Questions about Extract pages

Are my files uploaded when I extract pages?

No. Scissor PDF runs a PDF engine written in Rust and compiled to WebAssembly inside your browser tab. Your files are read from your disk into the page's memory, processed there and saved back to your device. The site has no upload endpoint, and its Content Security Policy blocks the page from sending data to any other server.

Can I save each page as its own PDF?

Yes. Choose "One file per page" before extracting. You receive a ZIP archive with a PDF for every selected page.

What is the difference from Split PDF?

Extract creates a file from the pages you pick. Split divides the entire document into several parts.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It is free, with no account, no daily task limit and no watermark added to your documents. Because the work happens on your own computer, there is no server cost per file for us to recover.
